Somewhere between Reality and Dream
Somewhere within your Feelings and Thoughts
Somewhere where You can find What is lost
These few sentences serve as an introduction, and I’ll likely add more someday… though I already realize I rather won’t be able to describe everything.
The concept of Greylands took shape as I was creating the individual tracks.
Somewhere in my subconscious, I wanted to craft a concept album in the vein of progressive rock records (which is probably why I have some issues to write short songs : ) ); once the idea of Greylands crystallized in my mind, everything began to fall into place to become an everything.
We can be absolutely certain that we know what a given work means, how it functions, or why it is successful—and yet, other people might like it (or dislike it) for a completely different reason.

Greylands is an enigmatic place where the lead character (or the lyrical subject – if you wish) finds himself.
He follows a path that isn’t entirely his own choice, as if he were being “pushed” in various directions.
He experiences things… observes what is happening around him… and he changes (in some way)…
It is much like life, although here he is able to to keep a distance — a certain perspective that allows him to understand, or at least reflect upon, the fleeting moments, the things that pass him by, and the details that usually go unnoticed.
Our work is meant, first and foremost, to awaken something within us, and subsequently to enable the awakening of something in others.

In truth, sharing one’s thoughts is very difficult — especially nowadays, when a multitude of behaviors and information breeds mistrust and results in a complete lack of understanding of the other person. On the other hand, it is us — human beings — who create this reality.
Well, everything takes time…
