Being already at an age entitling me to have a certain level of experience, I came across a literary form defined under the name: essay.
I liked this form very much, because it allowed me to treat a given topic/plot in a subjective way, sometimes not obvious, and yet most consistent with the author’s view. What’s more, it allows the reader to reflect or look at a given issue from a completely different perspective.
And these are my texts, a little unobvious, a little misleading, and I hope that they are also puzzling.
In songs, the most important thing is the melody, without it, the interest in the song decreases significantly, and the lyrics….
In the past, when a you had a lot of time, after buying an album, while playing it, you could open a booklet and read while listening. Probably that’s why those songs that were digested by me in such a way in my youth – were the most memorable.
Does each song have its own inspiration?
Hmmm, sometimes the saying: “what’s playing in my soul” subconsciously evokes a text and a melody that you have no idea about.
I remember once, during a conversation with my dear colleague Paweł (Paweł can be found on YT videos and in various places on the website – lead guitar), I said a little unexpectedly: “The next song will be called Highway 69.” I… so it was 🙂
I’m very happy when someone asks where the lyrics can be foud, because they didn’t understand everything (it’s about the lyrics in English). Yes, sometimes my English is not intelligible, and sometimes
I even try to make it so – then the suspense appears – what did the author really mean?
Maybe I’ll say a few words about “First Time”
I had quite a bit of a journey with this song. I had so many ideas from which subsequent versions were created, that at some point I said: STOP – too many mushrooms in a soup.
And then the idea for an album was born – News From the Greylands, which would start with just such an intro.
How many “first times” did life bring us (and still brings) us? We are ready for some, not necessarily for others. Some of them are deeply memorable, although not all of them we would like to remember.
And so, a little by accident, a land was created, Terra Incognita – Greylands, which consists of quite dark feelings. This is all because there is not much sun there, which does not mean that not much is happening there – quite the opposite.
